Kalamata (Kahl-ah-Mah tah) is the world's best-known olive variety; there are many impostors. All Peloponnese olives are grown on family farms in Greece. Our authentic Kalamatas come specifically from the Peloponnese region. Unique almond shape, purple-black in color, firm texture. Great nibbling olive with wine and beer. Add to cabbage salads with feta and sweet florina peppers. Even our brine (sea salt, water and sweet wine vinegar) is delicious. Use as a free ingredient in all recipes!
