Dan Fouts played for the San Diego Chargers from 1973 through 1987, and is famous for being one of the most prolific quarterbacks of the Super Bowl Era. Dan Fouts was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. Charlie Joiner was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. It was with the Chargers' high flying "Air Coryell" offense under coach Don Coryell that Joiner had his most productive years, exceeding 1,000 yards receiving in a season four times and going to three Pro Bowls (1976, 1979-80). Kellen Winslow is widely recognized as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the game. Winslow played in five Pro Bowls, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
