The Dakota Alert 4000 Probe Transmitter includes a transmitter, probe, and wire that are used to detect vehicles that pull up your driveway. The way it works is the probe and wire are buried underground, parallel to the driveway. The wire can be run to a post or a nearby tree where the transmitter box is located. When a vehicle drives by (within approximately 10-12 feet), the transmitter will send a signal to the DCR-4000 receiver
The DCPT-4000 is ideal in outdoor locations where motions detecting systems trigger false signals caused by deer or other large animals. Also, because the probe is buried underground, it will be the least noticeable. The transmitter is weatherproof and meant for exterior locations.
