Product Description

Winsor & Newton Monarch Brushes feature professional quality synthetic fibers that mimic the look and feel of natural mongoose hair (now an endangered species). Just like mongoose hair, the polyester filaments in Monarch brushes provide a stiffer alternative to sable, but are softer than hog bristle. They are excellent for subtle blending, glazing, and fine detail work. In addition, because Monarch is synthetic, it is more durable than natural hair and offers more spring, making it not only excellent for moving heavy bodied oil color, but also less prone to damage from solvents and paint.
