Bleier excelled at Notre Dame along with Terry Hanratty prior to be selected by the Steelers in 1968. He was drafted by the US Army in Dec of 1968 and served in Vietnam where he suffered a severe leg injury that was supposed to end his NFL career, however, his persistence paid off when he regained his starting position and was the lead blocker for Franco Harris during the Steelers four Super Bowl championships. Bradshaw lead the team to four Super Bowl victories (IX, X, XIII & XIV) and twice was named the MVP of the Super Bowl (XIII & XIV). He was a first ballot hall of famer, inducted in 1989 and passed for nearly 28000 career yards This includes a certificate of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
